Introduction/Challenge :

This is quick techtip for searching nostr content from any mobile or pc /mac full browser by any layman type user. Most mobile or web nostr applications has built-in search menu as always - it works also mostly. Sometimes they will not work - temporary outage. But many times they are using hard-coded search relays or you want select your own or new NIP50 search relay DB to find info which is obscure and somewhat hidden. Follow the below steps and search nostr content from custom relays or other non-default NIP50 search relays. This is not only way to do - it is one of ways.

**Steps to Search: ** **Find some live NIP50 reachable relays using some relay search tool or from app you are already using or reference below . **trustedrelays.xyz - nostr.watch/relays

**Open and use nostrudel.ninja/search → click on right most corner top ⚙️ wheel - then add you own search relay e.g. wss://search.nostr.now (not a real one) - Then select “default” **

Then go to Search🔎Tab of the left frame again to do actual search wallah you can see search results now

Conclusion: Those who know other tools like nosey, nostr adv search, ants are fine. If you knew this already is fine. You can change the default search relays in those such web apps also by self-deploying them in your own host or container and then editing file from command line - that may need basic linux cli skill and info where to change it. When you get stuck to find a info from you main app in nostr and have bookmarked or remember above steps - Feel free to use it. copy repost tell others too. Keep is mind normal web crawler usually not crawls nostr relay db notes so searxng or google or duckduckgo cannot find such content unless published in regular www site.
