Retrospective on the Nostr stuff that's keeping me busy

I've been ignoring my monthly reminder to write a blog article about the Nostr stuff that's keeping me busy for too long now.
Retrospective on the Nostr stuff that's keeping me busy

Stuff has been a very busy and chaotic in last couple of months. Let me try to keep the article short as there are quite some topics I would like to cover.

FOSDEM 2026

During the last edition of FOSDEM I gave a keynote about Drupal and Nostr called ‘POSSE content with Drupal using Nostr’ in the Collaboration and content management** **devroom organized by the Wikimedia Foundation. You can find the recording of the keynote in the link below. You can check my slides here.

Web of Trust foundation

As you might know, together with @npub1...n6dzx and @npub1...jezx0 I founded a non-profit foundation in The Netherlands. Setting up this foundation took more time than I expected and it still an attention demanding thing every week. Please check our website to discover what we are doing (such as developing the TEPP protocol upon Nostr).

Nuxtstack website

AI models and tooling are getting better each week. Also the programming outputs of these models are improving. Nuxtstack is a template which can be used by an AI agent to quickly bootstrap an idea to a web application. To learn more, please visit the website.

New Kubo.watch website

Building a reference demo application for the TEPP protocol is part of our Web of Trust foundation initiative. The goal with Kubo.watch is to build a YouTube Kids alternative application. Visit the new website for more information. I used Nuxtstack this build this website and has some Nostr-native components for rendering contents (such as blog articles, a kanban board and loading git over nostr stuff etc).

Kubo.watch #wotathon submission

We joined the wotathon hackathon organized by @npub1...fvp8p. While the idea for our submission was there for many months, I had no time to build and iterate during the months before the deadline. But with a deadline closing by (this month), I pressured myself to build something (also here Nuxtstack was helping me a lot for bootstrapping features with simple prompts which saved me a lot of time).

Nyves

In an earlier blogpost I shared some ideas how to bring back Hyves using Nostr. In February I submitted the idea as project to the SIDN Fund (which is a Dutch funding entity part of the foundation who responsible for the .nl domains). Their main goal is to build a strong (Dutch) internet. My goal is to transform the idea to a project that works and bring back profiles from the social network Hyves. I’m humbled that SIDN Fund approved my proposal as a ‘pioniersproject’. This means that I have now some financial support to allocate more time to work on this project this summer.

Visit the new website for more information and also learn how to keep informed with the latest updates around the project.

Again, Nuxtstack was used to build this website.
