FIAT IS THE WRAPPER

“How will I know where to go?” That was the question my young son asked me one day as I walked with him to cricket practice, before he barely knew how to bowl a ball or handle a bat. “What do you mean?”, was my reply. “One day when I’m an Australian Cricketer, how will I know where to go?” “Oh! In the same way you’ll know how to bowl and to bat, you’ll work it out, or by then I’m sure someone will support you and show you the way!”

I’ll never forget that conversation and in a sense the story informs me to this day. “How will I know?” Ordinarily you will figure the answers to the questions you have over the course of time as you experience life, through trial and error, practise, learning as you go, and as you see fit. You may make mistakes, but you’ll work it out, you’ll grow from the experience from your point of view.

What if times aren’t so ordinary though and they are in fact interesting and quite extraordinary? When the general public can be controlled and manipulated by a few people and the organisations created by them. When the laws of nature, the free market of individual human interactions, has broken down and the control by the few continues to occur. Agency is subtley moved from the control of the majority of individuals that comprise the general public and continuously shifts into the structures of larger organisations owned by few whose control grows. Imbalances occur and gains are accrued by the few in control and those closest to them whilst interruptions and losses are felt by the general public and left for them to resolve.

We live in such times. When control is exercised through money, the tool through which individuals express their preferences by exchange, measure the world, and store value, their lives can be manipulated. This manipulation has occurred iteratively and persistently over the course of time.

When money is “fiat”, as it is in these times, controlled by the few, it is printed into existence from nothing and by decree, unbounded by the laws of nature. In this way money is quantified and can be expanded infinitely, it’s value inflated, preferences biased, in a world of limited resources bounded by energy. This power, in the hands of the few, has extraordinary effects over the course of time. The most profound being felt by individuals expressed through declining health and capacity and observed as a growth of disorder and disease amongst the general public. A loss of control and a loss of balance with reduction in ability to chose at any given moment what is in their best interests.

This removal of agency away from the individual and toward authorities has occurred over many individual lifetimes. It is the story of our times never before being experienced in the history of humanity. A growing divide.

As money holds a superior position in how humans think about the world, the nature of money creates the story. If money can be quantified, if it can be created and controlled by the few a fictional story is told, a revolution, unrecognisable at first. It is through this lens of fiat money that a story has been created, told and sold. That creation is “THE WRAPPER” and the product is a “BALANCED DIET” with a promise of “HEALTH”.

In light of Bitcoin, it is now possible to articulate the bigger story of how the general public arrived at this place, subservient to lies, trusting in authorities, a place of disorder and disease, and to discover that there is Hope and how you would know.

To begin with change is subtle when the money is controlled. Prices rise at first slowly, creating an unexpected distortion, an imbalance in the market place, and whilst gains are privatised into the hands of few, losses are socialised, they are felt primarily by the majority of individuals we refer to as the general public. A few failures and losses that have been created by monetary expansion will need to be resolved.

Privatise the gains and socialise the losses!

In order to disguise such changes occurring with increasing frequency and which are having a fundamental affect on the general public, namely food prices, an idea to promote a “Balanced Diet” at a reasonable cost. To visually represent “optimal” servings based on food groups with bread and cereal at the base a pyramid is created. This simple idea came to life in the early 1970’s, and with increasing “evidence” and “authority” in the 1980’s and over the course of time.

If fiat is “The Wrapper”, a story of control, then a “Balanced Diet” is the product to be created and sold. A theoretical model is born with a promise of “Health”, when you place your trust in this fiat monetary system with guidelines to follow! A growing fear of the consequences if you don’t, a story perhaps more compelling. An information war when money is fiat. A psychological warfare. All in the name of behavioural change in aggregate when money creates a lie.

It is helpful to understand, before we go on, a period of time when circumstances were only beginning to change and obvious patterns of disease were only beginning to emerge and were yet to be named. A time before money became fiat and food as policy became the protocol.

For tens of thousands of years animal fats were the primary source of dietary fats in human diets. It was not until the late 1800s that seed oils were introduced into the food supply, an externality of industrial waste, a business opportunity, which ultimately came to be marketed and promoted as a source of edible fats after much manipulation by business. Growth in demand was not natural but engineered through business and supported by those who would stand to benefit. Such oils have in fact diversified in recent times, in the same way, and still a product of industrial waste.

Up until the 1900s carbohydrates from plants were consumed largely unrefined and sparingly. Sugar itself was considered a luxury item. Industrial food like breakfast cereals and soft drink entered the market at the turn of the twentieth century.

Homeostasis, a state of self regulation maintained by the Human Body, requires Energy in the context of an individual’s life for order. Humans have zero requirement for carbohydrates, that is, plant matter, and can be sustained on a meat only diet for life. The diet consumed primarily up until the late 1800s allowing an individual to know intuitively their personal requirements for food in the context of their situation.

Never mind. Let’s get back to the story!

Moving forward to 1955 the “Health” of the general public in the United States had deteriorated with unexplained patterns of disease on the rise most notably highlighted by sudden heart attacks. When U.S. President Eisenhower himself had a heart attack, this caught the nation’s attention, and in some circles an opportunity to sell a story was not to be missed. Despite the President’s prolific cigarette intake in his particular case, an hypothesis known as the “Lipid Heart Hypothesis” gained credibility around the cause of an increase in heart disease being recognised in the public. This hypothesis gained the support of industry and again those who would stand to benefit. It implicated saturated fat from animal foods as causal in heart disease. The demonisation of saturated fat then cleared the way for the ongoing promotion of seed oils and carbohydrate from agricultural products in the human diet despite humans never having consumed such foods and at such scale with such refinement.

Uncertainty creates doubt and doubt creates fear. A seed is sewn.

In retrospect it seems President Eisenhower became the protagonist, to create the story and sell the product, a low animal fat diet, in time a “Balanced Diet”, with a promise of “Health”. A product of FICTION with real world consequence.

Privatise the gains and socialise the losses!

In the early 1970’s a “Low Fat Diet”, visually represented by a pyramid, was sold to the general public as a way to lose weight to both maintain heart health and to prevent heart attacks. A time when the fitness and body shape of the general public was evidently changing, leading to a feeling of heaviness and weakness. At this time the story is being iterated through language and meaning with a focus on “Health” as the goal. To achieve this goal take action to consume a “Low Fat Diet”, with new products created by industry at scale, avoid consumption of animal foods, particularly red meat, to prevent weight gain, conflating the idea that eating fat makes you fat.

That these ideas did not make sense historically was not important as you’ll recall the money is controlled and so the story is told.

In the 1980’s a “Low Fat Diet”, a “Balanced Diet” becomes Public Policy in the U.S., and as monetary expansion spreads around the world over time it makes sense for Governments in affected countries to respond with similar policies.

When money is fiat, decline is by design.

Governments create incentives when necessary to hide monetary expansion. They use policies as the protocol to create and foster innovation in both science and business and allow for regulatory adjustments to flow. Stay close to fiat money and you will be rewarded. Research is funded and science provides the technical “Evidence Base” from where to articulate standards and practices surrounding “Nutrition Facts”, which business adheres to. Measurements are created that communicate to business and consumers. These are expressed on “The Wrapper” for marketing and promotion. Over time consumers absorb marketing and promotion and come to believe the promise of a “Balanced Diet” expressed on “The Wrapper” a promise of “Health”. Calories, a measurement relating to heat in physics, is misrepresented but nonetheless embraced and redefined for the purpose of expressing energy as part of a food labelling system, a statistical measure of food energy to establish and complete the story and promise of creating nutritional balance. What gets measured and can be quantified gets monitored no matter how misguided! Incentivised by profit, ideas flourish and develop over time.

Capturing the attention of children at home, at play and in public institutions becomes the name of the game. A customer for life. The story is circular, it is self referential. It is systemically flawed when fiat money allows language to be redefined. When fiat money allows Public and Private interests to coalesce and strengthen over time pushing their schemes. Put your trust in the story and you believe in “The Wrapper”.

Intuition disappears when money is fiat. Believe in yourself or believe “The Wrapper”, buy the product, a “Balanced Diet” with a promise of “Health”, despite evidence of growing instances of metabolic disease experienced by the general public.

Meat from animals, once prized as the most nutritious food source from which humans thrive becomes demonised. Animal and environmental activism coalesce as interest groups come to inform evidence based health advice. Meat, containing saturated fat, becomes the villain to be feared. Food as nutrition, once understood to provide energy from the “Fat of the Land”, has been captured, broken down, redefined, designed and constructed by industrial forces controlled by fiat money.

In the late 1980’s, perhaps you remember this time, the term “Syndrome X” was first coined to describe a cluster of metabolic abnormalities which later came to be understood as “Metabolic Syndrome”, now known as “Metabolic Disease” and it appears to be chronic and progressive!

At the same time that patterns of disease were being more frequently described by physicians many technological breakthroughs were also occurring within the medical community. The question had been asked many times about whether humans are falling to more disease or are advancements in science and technology simply able to detect patterns of disease earlier? Once detected and described then what is the course of action to be taken?

What do you do as the individual? Believe in yourself or believe “The Wrapper”?

The groundwork has been laid. The money is controlled and so is the food supply. Prices rise and whilst history does not repeat it certainly rhymes. Follow the guidelines that are more clearly defined. Eat a “Balanced Diet” for “Health”. You’ll find the answer to what is a “Balanced Diet” represented by the food pyramid endorsed by the Department of Health and supported by scientific research which provides the technical evidence base. Embraced by the Department of Education and incorporated in schooling. Industry with technology brings food to market at scale while adhering to “Nutrition Facts”. The advance of media through radio, newspaper and television gets the message to the market. A message repeated daily through story telling comes to be believed through repetition. Supermarkets deliver product where “Consumers” expect to find what they have been searching for. Whole foods including grains, nuts and seeds, plenty of fruits and vegetables as well as processed products to create a “Balanced Diet” with a promise of “Health”. Food supported by “Nutrition Facts” and “Health” claims, packaged with wrappers neatly on shelves. Food bereft of nutrition as meat takes up an ever declining proportion of what is offered.

Whilst children watch their heroes at large venues, whether in the field of the arts or sport, or see them on the big screen larger than life, they mimic their every move at play and in their own practice. The children also follow their heroes who appear in advertisements for anything from soft drink to breakfast cereals.

In this story breakfast becomes the most important meal of the day!

Time continues to pass and a growing portion of the general public suffers various conditions and syndromes, without being able to identify the cause. They are clearly out of shape, feeling depleted and weakened. Perhaps it’s the long hours in the office as “sitting is the new smoking” becomes the latest rallying cry! Maybe they simply need to “eat less and move more”? An idea that entered general discourse in the early 2000’s. In addition to new food products found at the supermarket and an influx in physical endeavours, such as gym routines and fun runs, the general public turn to authorities within the advancing field of medicine for solutions. There is a disconnect between how members of the general public feel and the outcomes achieved by eating a “Balanced Diet” with a promise of “Health”. They are less “Creative” and less “Productive”. Meanwhile, as physicians recognise these syndromes and conditions, patterns which they are now able to name, there is no questioning the type of food consumed by their patients and why would there be as physicians receive little training in the matter. There must be something wrong, are patients following the guidelines for a “Balanced Diet” or perhaps they have a genetic disease? Individuals begin to recognise their own diseases which are no longer unexpected and even inevitable.

“Those that cannot change their mind cannot change anything.”

In the context of fear, uncertainty and doubt what do you do? Do you reconsider your beliefs and actions or do you continue to believe “The Wrapper”? Fear is a powerful driver after all. If you don’t want to fall victim to a heart attack then don’t eat meat as time is not on your side. So the story is told.

Physicians increasingly require blood testing for patients and move their attention to particular markers to determine whether test results fall within well defined ranges as prescribed even though they are a function of a metabolically diseased population. [1] Health had never settled at the base layer, the hormonal layer, where it matters most. Whilst physicians might suggest the need to lose weight they continue to suggest eating a “Balanced Diet” for “Health” as recommended by “The American Heart Association”, an organisation whose profits continue to grow substantially. “Count Calories”, to ensure you achieve balance as “Calories In Equals Calories Out.” So the story goes! In the interim Statins are increasingly prescribed to lower cholesterol as it appears cholesterol is to high according to the recommended range. A range growing in importance in the medical field as a marker of concern when health is quantified.

Since 1988 there have been five major revisions downward about what is considered a normal cholesterol level. Within a general public where normal population values are far from optimal it has been considered by medical authorities that lower is better!

“When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure.”

Are the general public in the midst of a managed decline and have their problems been misdiagnosed? Cholesterol after all is essential for human life, if not attained through the diet the body will create it!

Is the medical field treating the symptoms of a “Balanced Diet”, the product of a story that in fact has become industrialised and depleted over time, not fit for human consumption? Does the medical field not recognise the “Balanced Diet” as the problem? Physicians in the medical field lack the education and knowledge to understand nutrition as energy with saturated fat as fuel in a state of Ketosis. Is this a case of lies by omission? In fact increasingly physicians themselves begin to notice they suffer just as their patients.

“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”

As the food industry evolves and scales to meet demand, consumers follow the guidelines although their hunger is never quite satisfied. It’s explained on “The Wrapper”, “Once you pop you can’t stop!” Somewhere along this timeline the medical field comes to be known as the “Health Care System” as a proliferation of support services now exist. There is a movement away from general practitioners to specialists, forced to divide and conquer, and an evolution of testing services, procedures and devices recommended as solutions. It’s imperative that physicians within the medical field focus on their specialties. As information and technologies advance to provide targeted care for a growing burden of metabolic disease, considered to be chronic and progressive and spreading throughout the general public!

While the “Health Care System” reminds the general public to follow the guidelines and consume a “Balanced Diet” an army of dietitians is recruited to carry the message which has become medical dogma. Adherence to guidelines over outcomes increasingly suggests the system creating the problem was never designed to solve it.

“You can’t fix a system problem from within the system creating the problem.”

The dissemination of marketing materials for the ever evolving “Balanced Diet” becomes more targeted to fight this “war on obesity” which has come to pass and an army of dietitians is incentivised to support the suffering public. They provide individualised support and encouragement by promoting the product, a “Balanced Diet” for “Health” and the “Calorie” as the measure of balance. The instructions supported by “The Wrapper” on the food products in this Science Fiction.

Intuition and eating meat to satiation has long since past. Memories falter and fade as bodies weaken. Words had lost their meaning long ago. Chronic Metabolic Disease within the general public a reflection of economic collapse created by fiat money, a distortion, created from nothing.

If energy creates order are we then experiencing an energy crisis? An Information War? A Psychological Warfare? All in the name of behavioural change when the money creates the lie. The individual pays the price at every stage if they have believed “The Wrapper”. Consuming a “Balanced Diet” with a promise of “Health” and measuring “Calories in Calories out” to achieve balance.

“You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.”

Energy is controlled when money is fiat. It’s by decree! They are the rules so it is told. Centralising control has created increasing disorder. Centralising control has created a growing FICTION. It HAS led to the Chronic Metabolic Disease within the general public.

At the turn of the twenty first century charitable organisations like “Beyond Blue” in Australia began appearing to understand and address issues related to anxiety, depression and other mental illnesses. The organisation has only expanded since and as we reflect on the year 2025 the general public believes they are “Healthy at Any Size”. Meanwhile, digital signage at major sporting venues advertise synthetic vitamins and minerals and pharmaceuticals as solutions to the ills that ail the general public. Crowds enter the stadiums and donate their fiat, which they can barely afford to do, in support of the charitable organisations searching for solutions as local sporting heroes are sponsored to spread the word.

No matter how many times you’ve been told something is true, if it’s not factual the number of times it’s repeated doesn’t make it factual.

Is the “Balanced Diet” itself the risk factor for chronic metabolic disease?

Whilst this story is concerning, this “Fiat Wrapper”, there is HOPE, on an alternative timeline.

The year is 2009 and there is a fork in the road. Satoshi Nakamoto mined the Genesis Block on the Bitcoin Network. A Peer to Peer Electronic Cash System. A System with a finite monetary supply grounded in energy. A digital system that now exists natively on the internet.

Bitcoin is a new life form requiring energy, the master resource. A need that must be transformed and persist for the network to be maintained, develop and grow. To begin, stability and security is assured if it remains decentralised. Growth lives on the margin, it scales, it is a network effect. Difficult for humans to recognise but we can feel it, as it is a force of nature. It is a complex system. A communications protocol.

Bitcoin reveals something of ourselves as humans. As individuals we are more than the some of our parts, as our growth scales, we to are a network effect but biological. We are not a mathematical equation, quantifiable, a problem to be solved with a synthetic solution and by the way beware of side effects. We to are a complex system with a need for energy for life and over the course of our lives. Energy is required to maintain, allow for development and growth.

From one individual to another we integrate within a family and a community. We are a product of time and of our times. We make the improvements as we iterate and gain insight. We are a temporal network that requires a species specific diet that we metabolise to support our system.

That we are in fact Bitcoin, Bitcoin is us, a creation because of us. We are the nodes on the network, the actors, n=1, we create the efficiencies. We create the demand and that as a node we decide. Our thoughts, beliefs, actions and feelings. That the fiat and the alternate reality it created was a lie that could never withstand the forces of nature revealed in the course of time.

Individuals throughout the world who had listened to their intuition, had continued to eat red meat, and some who had recognised along the way that the “Balanced Diet” wasn’t living up to it’s promise and had rediscovered their health by returning to red meat, found themselves connected to the Bitcoin network and a community of peers with similar values.

As their numbers grew, those eating red meat, almost exclusively for some, found themselves in a state of ketosis where their bodies were energised by red meat containing saturated fat allowing their bodies to return to homeostasis. A growing ease amongst this community of people became increasingly evident as conversations proliferated, if not in person then through face to face story telling over the internet. Diseases once believed to be chronic and progressive seemed to disappear for those eating increasing amounts of red meat to satiation. They felt stronger and seemed to have agency over their daily lives to pursue other dreams.

Fortunately for those that ate red meat it became clear that over time the cost of doing so seemed to decline if purchases of meat were denominated in bitcoin. This wasn’t the case of course when money was fiat thus the “Balanced Diet” with a promise of “Health” but increasingly devoid of energy over time.

Now where were we? Ah yes, the year is 2026! It’s 17 years since Bitcoin was discovered.

Increasingly elements of the general public realise they are out of shape and need to change their state. The “Health Care System” has a solution for that concern and it comes in the form of an injection or a tablet with a vast array of side effects listed on the patient package insert. Nonetheless, individuals, having tried everything and in need of fast acting solutions, believe in the authorities as sales of these products skyrocket as the benefit risk communication highlights the benefits and downplays the risks as is typically the case. There’s a problem though, increasing reports of side effects come to light. Problems with digestion, feelings of frailty and observable postural issues. Science and business identify the importance of protein and the need to maintain muscle mass reminding the general public how important muscle is. What is recommended and what do we see? Understand the best plant sources for protein and their best combinations for meal preparation. Meanwhile packaged food found at your local supermarket is headlined with “High in Protein” and a promise of “Health”, just what you have been looking for! Animal foods no where to be seen.

The Health Care System where a “Balanced Diet” has been prescribed with a promise of “Health” in fact has led to a loss of agency. It has also led to a remarkable creation of products and services for those that suffer at the hands of the “Balanced Diet” that promised “Health”. From exogenous ketones and synthetic hormones as interventions to the creation of what amounts to an Exo Skeleton for the Human body. From “walkers” and “rollaters” to “mobility scooters” all in the name of mobility and stability for those that have neither and to help reduce fatigue during ordinary daily activity!

Tap and Pay, Click and Collect, Don’t think just Act, consume a “Balanced Diet” with a promise of “Health”. Gravity had been removed from the equation in this friction free fiction. Autonomy had been disabled.

As you contemplate the future, start to question problems that don’t appear to resolve themselves, observe those ahead of you in the cycle of life, you realise the environment around you is far from normal and certainly not natural, something is not right, the very system of authority? When you turn to those whom you once trusted and believed, they to are following guidelines and standards of care, they had stopped asking questions and observing you long ago and they certainly aren’t paying attention now.

Weighed down and exhausted by your situation, where do you turn?

You notice others standing out from the crowd, they appear confident, strong and capable speaking of their experiences. They are alternative voices on new media available over the internet locally and across all corners of the globe both audio and visual. Transparent and verifiable in real time. And their problems and concerns resonate with yours, their solutions and their results also appear to be trending in a more hopeful direction. Away from disease and toward ease. This is how you will know, the answer to the question you’ve been searching for.

There was never anything wrong with you but you had accepted a lie that was never true. It is necessary to believe in yourself and that you can change. Your thoughts, beliefs and actions especially if results run counter to the notion of metabolic disease being chronic and progressive.

Money is superordinate and Bitcoin is money. Energy is order which enables ease. Bitcoin will reveal truths as a new Story is created. Take some time to reflect on the past to rediscover Health. Simply believe that change is possible and eat red meat to satiation. Believe in yourself as it’s up to you to do the work.

How will you know? Well, how do you feel? Now that’s the question! Your body is a composition, a network effect when given the right information is strong and capable, allowing you to move through the world. Your body is not about more and less. It is a protocol that does not understand fiat nor does it care. Listen to your body through your sensing how you feel. You may need to change your beliefs. This may lead to new actions. A better result. Rediscover meat and you’ll rediscover ease, ability and sovereignty.

The story was never about your heart, truth be told, it was about your mind. Control your mind to create behavioural change. Fiat money is an illusion so to “The Wrapper” and a “Balanced Diet”, the product sold with a promise of “Health”, to hide the theft of your natural growth, creativity, productivity and wealth. “Health” for the individual was the promise that was never delivered, balance no longer under your control, energy remaining on the packaging, never to be settled. What had been delivered was a LIE published by a Globalised Media and Logistics Network to distribute the idea. Alternative Meat and Dairy products produced with plant material and processed to ensure a long and stable shelf life. Food formulated by design and centralising over time. Chronic and progressive Metabolic Disease in the general public for those that believed “The Wrapper” was the result. The uncommon became common and was normalised whereby “Health” at any size was accepted. We are social creatures after all. Disease and decline occurring earlier in life and at an increasing rate as the money changes with increasing frequency. The inputs to the next phase of the business model known as the “Health Care System”.

The change from Fiat to Bitcoin is a transformation that will take time. An individual discovery. A change of thought, belief and action. You’ll need to unlearn and relearn. That will be the Proof of Work. One individual, one family, one community at a time. The adjustment is difficult. It’s not easy but it is simple. Eat Red Meat.
